The title of this blog is my Progress or Lack on in Internet Marketing and I think I have gone slightly off target.
To date I’ve got this blog up and running with some kind remarks from visitors both here and in the IBCX Forum. My Site for the PowerPoint eBook is also up and running with still some more work to do on it. Visit it at http://www.powerpointebook.com and let me know what you think.
I intend to set up 2 more sites one for Affiliate Marketing and the other for Social Bookmarking. These are loaded with a basic blog (no posts just the standard WordPress installation). but I will be adding posts to them and may even put some of the information here as well.
I will concentrate on one of them at a time so if you have a preference leave me a comment and the majority will decide which one is first. I have loads of information on my hard drive which needs to be sorted and probably updated as well so I have plenty to keep me occupied.
The IBCX coaching is gaining momentum and we are shortly starting month 2 where we are going to get into slightly more detailed information. To date the training has been aimed more at those who had no idea how to do anything in Internet Marketing rather than those with a little knowledge.
Apart from the coaching webinars the forum has been very popular with questions asked and answered not only by the 2 G’s but by members as well. This has helped those with no knowledge to get going and those with some knowledge have also learnt from the questions and their answers.
I will keep writing posts to give you my progress as the months go on.
Your comments are welcome and I look forward to seeing them. Spam comments will not be published so don’t waste your time sending them in.

Richard,
In terms of what you are working to develop, I need to learn it all. I am fairly ignorant about both topics.
I have to say this, I don’t use social media because I really don’t like the learning curve. I really don’t like all the clicking and having to figure out where to go, what to click, what to do first, it is just too overwhelming and I have too many other things to do vying for my time. I am looking for a simple, easy, and time efficient way to learn those topics.
I tend be a straight typist…I would rather write an article, or even an ebook for that matter, than figure out the social media networks…there are so many.
I would say if you are going to develop a product, take a network and make it very easy for people to understand. Don’t leave out any steps. And don’t use extra words.
There is an art of saying a lot in a few words. People are busy. Keep it simple. Make it easy for people to understand how each social network works. I won’t look at complicated, long ebooks where it looks like someone put in a bunch of words just to “pad it”. Give me the info in the most direct means possible, and don’t assume that I know any of the steps. Spell it out 1…2…3….
As for organizing, I went through a season of doing that and now I maintain it. I am leaving a link to an article on one of my blogs that talks about that. It might be useful for you.
Hi Cheryl
Whilst I have signed up to some of the Social Media platforms I must admit I do not use them very often. I am not a great texter and so don’t feel comfortable with some of them.
If I was to put the time and effort into facebook, twitter, youtube etc I would have no time for anything else. Some people I know post everything they do on facebook and to me that is giving too much information. A typical day for one of my neices would start with what she had for breakfast, what she was doing next, she then lists her day in detail and finishes with getting ready for bed. Not my cup of tea I’m afraid I like to keep some things private.
By being as detailed as she is any burgler can tell exactly when she is going to be out of the house — an open invitation!
Don’t worry about not being on one ore more social networks, Your use of them will come when you need it.
Richard
Hi Richard
I don’t have a preference what you do ‘ first’ except that it be what excites you
I’m with Cheryl on the Social stuff. It’s all very confusing. I haven’t opened those boxes yet; I have more than I have time to do already.
I know I will have to master the whole tribe of the things, eventually… Facebunch, Tweedle, GagglePlus, LinkedWhere, DigInHere, etc etc. Later. I know I already don’t know enough about what I got going now.
I’m pleased you’re getting a lot out of the IBCX. If you’d like a review of your PowerPoint book, use the one I left on http://anthonysmits.com or let me know and I’ll shoot it to you.
Anthony
Hi Anthony
I will probably start setting up the site for Affiliate marketing first as I know more about it and leave the Social bookmarking one for later.
I have read your review and replied to it on your blog. The only thing wrong was the Title of my ebook it had a word left out. The correct title is “How to Create VIDEOS With Microsoft PowerPoint”
