Why YOU Should Write YOUR Own Ebooks – Part 6

Welcome to all my readers both new and returning.  If you have not already done so why not sign up to my RSS feed for notification of when I post new posts here.

This is the sixth post on what is a series of posts on the reasons Why YOU Should Write YOUR Own Ebooks.  They will all come together in an ebook I will be using in future giveaways.

Marketing and Promotion

There are a large number of different ways to use ebooks to promote your business and drive quality traffic to your website.  Once posted on your site you can turn them into a daily course which brings your customer back to read the next installment.

You can use them as a free gift for someone making a purchase, filling out a survey or in giveaways.  You can also convert your ebook into an audio or video recording which you can use as an up-sell for customers who have got the written version.

The most effective marketing products are those that are unique.  Copyright your ebook and immediately you have a powerful tool that you and you alone can offer to the public.  People will have to visit your site to acquire your ebook which increases the flow of quality traffic and the potential of sales and affiliate contacts.

Make sure that you keep you ebook current.  Update it frequently as the market and trends change.  Add new advice and techniques to show your prospects how you goods or services can enrich their lives.

By saying update it frequently I do not mean every day / week / month just when and if it needs to be updated.  I.e. if your ebook covers a software program which is updated every couple of years then you need to update when the program is updated.  Or you could write a new version based on the updated program and keep the original version available for those who haven’t got the newer version.

By constantly keeping abreast of new trends and techniques you can continue to see profits from your ebook for years after you originally created it.

Another massive advantage of ebooks is that you can test their marketing potential without spending a fortune.  Your ebook should be available as a down loadable product so that your customers can get it 24 / 7 / 365 without you having to be personally available.

By Keeping your ebook current you can gauge its saleability and make adjustments as necessary until the orders start pouring in.  Ebooks allow you to learn about your market,  customer habits and motivation over a period of time without risking your precious financial resources.

They also provide you with an invaluable way to gather marketing information that you can use in many different facets of your business.

Use your ebook to discover what the specific goals and problems are in your niche.  Then figure out how to solve these problems and publish another ebook with the answers.  This will increase the value of your business, upgrade your reputation and get you known as an expert in your field.

Marketing and Promotion will be continued in part 7 coming shortly.

Why YOU Should Write YOUR Own Ebooks – Part 5

Welcome to all my readers both new and returning.  If you have not already done so why not sign up to my RSS feed for notification of when I post new posts here.

This is the fifth post on what is a series of posts on the reasons Why YOU Should Write YOUR Own Ebooks.  They will all come together in an ebook I will be using in future giveaways.

Ebooks Are Promotional PowerhousesContd.

Ebooks are interactive.  This is one of the most unique and specific qualities that ebooks offer. You can add pages for a survey that needs to be filled out, an order form for customers to purchase your other products or services, sound or video clips that draw your reader into the virtual world of your ebook.

You can even add direct links to relevant sites that will allow readers to get other products (yours or another marketers).  The potential is virtually limitless.  These addons are not necessary for you to write a great ebook so don’t worry about them.

Ebooks have a particular kind of permanence that other mediums do not possess.  Television and radio shows air once, may rerun a few times, can now be found on the station website for a limited time after the program has run.

Ebooks remain on your or your customers computer for as long as you / your customer choose.  They can be read and reread whenever needed.  You can even print them out and store them on the shelves of your traditional home library.

Another wonderful quality is that ebooks have no barriers in terms of publishing.  You don’t need to go through the endless process of submitting your manuscript over and over again.  You also don’t have to shell out thousands of dollars for printing.  All that is required for ebooks is to decide on your market, write your ebook, post it on your website and with the right business savvy your audience will come to you.

Finally you have creative control over your ebook.  You don’t have to compromise with an editor or the current publishing trends.  You don’t have to haggle with a designer or wait for the copy edited proofs to arrive by snail mail.  You are in complete control of the design and the text.

This series will be continued in part 6 coming shortly.

Why YOU Should Write YOUR Own Ebooks – Part 4

Welcome to all my readers both new and returning.  If you have not already done so why not sign up to my RSS feed for notification of when I post new posts here.

This is the forth post on what is a series of posts on the reasons Why YOU Should Write YOUR Own Ebooks.  They will all come together in an ebook I will be using in future giveaways.

Ebooks Are Promotional Powerhouses

Ebooks are now a large part of cyberspace.  They are currently one of the best and easiest mediums to use for sharing marketing information, ideas, techniques and your expert knowledge.  Each day the number of people accessing the Internet grows, causing the exposure of your ebook to increase incrementally.

In my opinion there are some topics that will always be better for offline publishing, so I believe the publishing industry does not intend to forever banish the printed word to the dustbin of history.  These types of book would include all fictional story books as I think they would not be suitable for ebooks.

I may be wrong and with the way the Kindle and other book readers are getting more and more common with a lot of the fictional books available on them I possibly am.  To me books in print have their own special qualities and merits and the world would be diminished by their disappearance.

Having said that let’s look at what makes ebooks so important and so unique.  Ebooks have certain abilities and quantities that other mediums do not possess.

For example ebooks are fairly easy to produce and their production cost is practically Zero.  Just Think about it:

  • You don’t need a publisher
  • You Don’t need an agent
  • You don’t need a printing press
  • You don’t need paper and ink
  • You don’t even need a distributor
  • You just need a great concept, the ability tio write the ebook or to hire a writer, and the right software.

Additionally ebooks are easily and rapidly distributed online. They are also easily updated, they do not require a second print run.  All you need to do is to go into your original creation and modify the text or graphics.  Because of this flexibility ebooks can change and grow as fast as you can type.

Ebooks are also immediately obtainable.  You don’t have to go to a bookstore or search through endless titles at an online bookstore.  All you have to do is download it from a website and hey presto it’s on your computer ready to be read.

This series will be continued in part 5 coming shortly.
